Um, Yes You Should Absolutely Go To LA's Sober Rave Before Work

Set Your Alarm and Shake Your Ass Before Work at Daybreaker LA

Daybreaker is a worldwide early morning dance party that helps you shake up your work day. Instead of heading to the gym in the morning, sober ravers hit the dance floor in ridiculous costumes. The theme of our party was “Into the Jungle,” which is loosely interpreted to include a herd of unicorn, lots of animal onesies and inflatable cats. From 6:30-8:30 am, we threw down at Wurstküche Restaurant in Venice, dancing to the beats of DJ Just Beth.

I attended my first Daybreaker LA event in Santa Monica about three years ago, and the party has only gotten better with time. My guess is that more and more people are dressing up in costumes, fully celebrating the party’s theme and inspiring others to do the same.

Think about it: Anyone that can drag herself out of bed before sunrise, put on a costume and pack her work clothes, goes to Daybreaker to D.A.N.C.E. There are no wallflowers here. Expect house music, live performances, dance circles and a chance to connect with open-minded people from all walks of life. Daybreaker events take place all around the world, from Amsterdam to Tokyo. To find out if there’s an upcoming party in your neighborhood, click here.
